1Glory be to Jesus,
Who, in bitter pains,
Poured for me the life-blood
From His sacred veins.
2Grace and life eternal
In that blood I find;
Blest be His compassion
Infinitely kind.
3Blest through endless ages
Be the precious stream,
Which from endless torments
Did the world redeem.
4Abel’s blood for vengeance
Pleaded to the skies;
But the Blood of Jesus
For our pardon cries.
5Oft as it is sprinkled
On our guilty hearts,
Satan in confusion
Terror-struck departs;
6Oft as earth exulting
Wafts its praise on high,
Angel-hosts rejoicing
Make their glad reply.
7Lift ye then your voices;
Swell the mighty flood;
Louder still and louder
Praise the Lamb of God. Amen.

Revelation5:9-139 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. 11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
