1Thy ceaseless, unexhausted love,
Unmerited and free,
Delights our evil to remove,
And help our misery.
2Thou waitest to be gracious still;
Thou dost with sinners bear,
That, saved, we may Thy goodness feel,
And all Thy grace declare.
3Thy goodness and Thy truth to me
To every soul, abound,
A vast, unfathomable sea,
Where all our thoughts are drowned.
4Its streams the whole creation reach,
So plenteous is the store,
Enough for all, enough for each,
Enough forevermore.
5Faithful, O Lord, Thy mercies are!
A rock that cannot move;
A thousand promises declare
Thy constancy of love.
6Throughout the universe it reigns,
Unalterably sure;
And while the truth of God remains,
The goodness must endure.
Exodus34:6,76 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
Psalm100:5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Isaiah30:18And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
John15:13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
