|1||Almighty God, Whose gracious hand
Hath formed the waters round the land,
All praise and glory be to Thee
For every wonder of the sea.
|2||The ceaseless tides, the freshening breeze,
The sparkling waves of summer seas,
The winter’s wild exultant storm,
The marvels of Thy will perform.
|3||Thy Son, Who came the world to save,
Found rest upon the boisterous wave,
His mighty presence still is nigh,
’Mid storms that fain would terrify.
|4||Thy rule and Thy command prevail
Above the grandeur of the gale,
Whose faith and trust in Thee is sure,
Though tempest-tossed, abide secure.
|5||The voices of the deep declare,
Thy might, Thy majesty, Thy care;
Lord grant that all on land and sea,
May know, and love, and worship Thee. Amen.
