1Almighty God, Whose gracious hand
Hath formed the waters round the land,
All praise and glory be to Thee
For every wonder of the sea.
2The ceaseless tides, the freshening breeze,
The sparkling waves of summer seas,
The winter’s wild exultant storm,
The marvels of Thy will perform.
3Thy Son, Who came the world to save,
Found rest upon the boisterous wave,
His mighty presence still is nigh,
’Mid storms that fain would terrify.
4Thy rule and Thy command prevail
Above the grandeur of the gale,
Whose faith and trust in Thee is sure,
Though tempest-tossed, abide secure.
5The voices of the deep declare,
Thy might, Thy majesty, Thy care;
Lord grant that all on land and sea,
May know, and love, and worship Thee. Amen.
Psalm95:5The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
