1The Lord will come! The earth shall quake,
The hills their ancient seat forsake;
And withering from the vault of night,
The stars no more shall yield their light.
2The Lord will come! But not the same
As once in lowly form He came;
A silent Lamb to slaughter led,
The Bruised, the Suffering, and the Dead.
3The Lord will come! A glorious Form,
’Mid cloud and darkness, fire and storm!
On cherub wings, and wings of wind,
Anointed Judge of human-kind.
4O King of Mercy, grant us power
To stand in that tremendous hour,
Before Thy wrath when sinners flee,
Vouchsafe to gather us to Thee. Amen.

Malachi3:2But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
Mark13:24-2724 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, 25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. 26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
